EMROG’s support to the EOC [pdf]

1. Weekly and Monthly Radio Checks
   • Participate in scheduled weekly radio checks with the EOC.
   • Conduct a more detailed monthly net to verify coverage, audio quality, and procedures with all active EMROG members.
2. Internal Radio and Equipment Function Checks
   • Perform regular internal checks on EMROG radios, batteries, antennas, and ancillary equipment.
   • Perform regular internal checks on our handheld radio bank
   • Document any equipment issues, needed repairs, or replacements, and report them back to the EOC Communications Lead.
3. Quarterly EMROG Van Operational Runs
   • Conduct quarterly EMROG communications van runs throughout the county.
   • On each run, verify communications from at least five pre-identified test points back to the EOC “home base.”
   • Capture signal strength, coverage notes, and any access or location issues encountered during these runs.
4. AM Radio Trailer “Roadrunner” Monthly Checks
   • Perform a full monthly operational check on the AM Radio “Roadrunner” trailers.
   • Confirm power-up, transmission capability, audio quality, and basic mechanical status (tires, lights, etc., as applicable).
   • Complete and submit the designated Roadrunner monthly check form for EOC documentation.
5. Support to Repeater Projects and Upgrades
   • Assist HSEM with the ongoing repeater project and any future upgrades (site checks, basic equipment checks, coverage testing, and on-air verification).
   • Provide feedback on coverage, dead spots, and operational performance to support system improvements and resiliency.
