EMROG

Emergency Management Radio Operators Group

Fort Bend County

    Mission Statement

    • Primary: Provide Amateur Radio communications to our served agencies when all other electronic mechanisms fail. Our primary served agency is the Fort Bend County office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management. We also serve several hospitals and municipalities in Fort Bend County. Amateur Radio communications can be internal to Fort Bend County or between the Fort Bend, another County, or the State of Texas.
    • Secondary: Provides Amateur Radio communication among EMROG Skywarn storm spotters, the National Weather Service in League City, the Fort Bend Office of Emergency Management, or by telephone relay the Fort Bend Sheriff’s Department.

    General

Fort Bend County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is always looking for volunteers to serve the community. EMROG members are highly trained and qualified volunteers will be invited to serve as exercise support to OEM and will aid in various capacities.
You only have to have a Technician License to be able to join the group and it is not necessary to live in Fort Bend County.
Join the Net or Face to Face meetings for details on becoming a member.

No Fulshear Farmers Market demos until further notice

We've come to a time where there is no more vendor space at the Fulshear Farmers Market. Ramona has been very generous in letting us use the space, but unless they acquire more land, we will have to step aside and let the vendors use the space we were using. They are at 65 vendors and still have more wanting to sign up to be a vendor at FFM.
Also I would like to thank everyone who has stopped by to help at the FFM and/or participated in any of our P2P events.
